How the drill works
Field Layout: Divide the half-field into three zones Waiting Zone: For the next attacking team. Possession Zone: Attackers (4) vs. Defenders (2). Attacking Third: Includes an offside line and the goal with a goalkeeper. *Three teams of 4 players each. Two defenders and four attackers are active at a time. Goalkeeper in the goal. The coach starts by passing to one of the attackers in the Possession Zone. Attackers must combine passes while two defenders apply pressure to recover the ball. Attackers aim to play a through ball past the offside line into the Attacking Third. Two attackers make timed runs into the Attacking Third to receive the ball and finish on goal. Defenders must stay compact and attempt to intercept or regain possession. If defenders recover the ball, they clear it out of play. Once the attack is completed The two attackers who finished move to the sidelines to become defenders in the next round. The two current defenders join the Waiting Zone. Four players from the Waiting Zone enter as attackers. This ensures all players rotate through attacking, defending, and waiting roles.
